Biography
Max Brändle was born in 1976 in Emsdetten, Northrhine-Westphalia (Germany) and went to school in Germany and as an exchange student in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (USA). He has studied Philosophy and Literature in Tübingen, New York and Berlin and has earned a doctorate degree in Philosophy. He started working for Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Berlin in 2005, the German political foundation affiliated with the Social Democrats in Germany. There, he has been coordinating a council of business leaders for Social Democracy in Germany, the «Managerkreis». In this time, he also earned an MBA-degree from Europäische Fernhochschule Hamburg. In 2012, he joined the international department of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Berlin. In 2015 he became director of the regional office for Croatia and Slovenia of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Zagreb. Since September 2018, he is director of the regional office for Serbia and Montenegro of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Belgrade. Max Brändle is married and has three children.
