Sarah Groen

Sarah Groen, a U.S. diplomat seconded to the OSCE, has served as Deputy Head of Mission in Belgrade since December 2020.  From 2016 to 2019, she was Political and Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia.  Her other assignments include Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the U.S. Mission to the European Union in Brussels.  In Washington, she has worked on Middle East policy issues and in the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, overseeing rule of law capacity-building programs in East Asia.
