Biography
Dr. Christian Bueger is lecturer in International Relations at Cardiff University. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). Before joining Cardiff he was a Leverhulme fellow at the Greenwich Maritime Institute (London, UK), and a research fellow at the Institute for Development and Peace (Duisburg, Germany). His core research interests are international organizations, maritime security, East African piracy as well as practice theory and interpretative methodology. He has published in journals such as Contemporary Security Policy, International Studies Perspectives, Journal of International Relations and Development, Security Dialogue or Zeitschrift fuer Internationale Beziehungen. At present he is working on a book manuscript on the global fight against piracy. He is one of the editors of the research blog http://piracy-studies.org.
