Biography
Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller is a Senior Transatlantic Fellow with the German Marshall Fund in Berlin, and the director of the GMF’s survey program, Transatlantic Trends. Previously, she was Director of the GMF Berlin office (2005-2009), and a reporter and international security editor with the weekly Die Zeit in Hamburg (1994-2005). She is an international lawyer by training, and studied in Bonn, Geneva, and Harvard. She speaks and publishes on issues of German, European and transatlantic strategy, as well as on foreign and security policy and European and American news media regularly interview and quote her. She chairs the academic advisory council of the German Foundation on Peace Research, and was the chairwoman of Women in International Security Germany (WIIS.de) from 2009 to 2013.
