Biography
Cristian Nitoiu is a Dahrendorf Post-Doctoral Fellow in EU-Russia relations and Ukraine at LSE IDEAS, the London School of Economics. He is an expert on EU and Russian foreign policy, EU-Russia relations, Eastern Europe, international relations, the European public sphere or international political communication. Before LSE he held research positions at Trinity College Dublin and the College of Europe. He has recently edited (together with Nikola Tomic) a special issue of Perspectives on European Politics and Society entitled “Europe, Discourse, and Institutions: Challenging the Mainstream in European Studies”. His book EU Foreign Policy Analysis: Democratic Legitimacy, Media, and Climate Change was published in June by Palgrave. He is currently working on a book on EU-Russia relations during Putin’s third term and a project on the European Parliament’s approach towards the post-Soviet space and Russia.
