Biography
General Milan Mojsilović commenced his rich military career in 1986 as a soldier serving a compulsory military service at the School of Reserve Officers of Armoured and Mechanized Units of the Yugoslav People’s Army.
He has advanced from the lowest soldiers rank to the rank of General of the Serbian Armed Forces. He performed duties from platoon leader to the commander of a service of the Serbian Armed Forces, mainly on command and operational posts in the commands and units.
He graduated from the Military Academy – Armoured and Mechanized Units, and later from the Command and Staff Course and the National Defence School in Belgrade. Of the most important international courses, he completed the four-month executive program at the European College of Security Studies.
He served in Banja Luka, Vršac, Kruševac, Pančevo, Belgrade, Vranje, Prokuplje, Kragujevac and Niš.
He served as Chief of the Operations Section of the SAF Operating Forces Command, as Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Command of the General Staff as well as Army Commander.
From 2013 to 2017 he served as the Head of the Military Representative Office in the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to NATO. Prior to his appointment as Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, he served from 2017 to 2018 as Assistant Defence Minister for Defence Policy.
General Milan Mojsilović is married to Slavica. They have a son, a daughter-in-law and a grandchild. He is fond of alpine skiing, fishing and theater.
He is fluent in Russian and English.
