Anja H. Ebnöther
Biography
Anja H. Ebnöther is Assistant Director at the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF). As the Head of the Special Programmes Division, she is responsible for DCAFs Gender and Security program, which focuses on research and capacity building, support to national, regional or international institutions and policy advice in integrating gender into Security Sector Reform and governance processes. Ebnöther is a member of several international bodies such as the Women Leaders’ Council, the Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institute’s Steering Committee, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).Prior to this, MsEbnöther served as a civil servant with the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, and as Deputy Head of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC)/PfP desk. She studied at the universities of St. Gallen and Fribourg and holds a degree in Law from the University of Fribourg with a specialisation in European and International Law.
