Arjan Dyrmishi

Arjan Dyrmishi is a senior research expert at the Institute for Democracy and Mediation in Tirana, Albania. He has wide expertise in the security sector as a researcher and practitioner, and has published several papers on security sector reform and governance. As a practitioner, he held various leading positions in the Albanian government, including in the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of Defence and the National Intelligence Service. He holds a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Siena, Italy. Apart from security sector reform, his research interests include international relations, democratisation, political parties and EU institutions, and policymaking.
