Biography
Barry Snelgrove retired from the Civil Service in June 2019 after working in Public Service for 39 of his 40 year working life. He worked for the Probation Service for 21 years completing as Assistant Chief Probation Officer for 8 years in London. After secondment to the Home Office National Probation Directorate, he led on policy for employment,training and education of offenders and also resettlement from prison. He worked on development of policy for electronic monitoring (Tagging) and operationally managed the contracts until 2013 when he went on to be Head of International Projects in the Ministry of Justice. This role was joint Home Affairs and Justice and involved oversight of projects on justice and security reform in the Western Balkans as well as Turkey,Albania,Bulgaria,
