Biography
Biljana Lazarević works as a Police Adviser in the Ministry of Interior. From July 2009 – July 2010 she was leading the Serbian police contingent as the first female contingent commander in the UN MISSION in Haiti (MINUSTAH). Ms. Lazarević has been awarded the Miloš Obilić Medal for bravery. From April 2004 to January 2006, she was a member of the first CIVPOL (civilian police) contingent of Serbia in the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL). She successfully completed the Leaders’ program in advanced security studies (LPASS) in George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
