Biography
Florence Gaub is the Deputy Director of the EUISS, where she is in charge of coordinating research activities. Her area of expertise is the Arab world, with a particular focus on conflict, security and regional geostrategy. She also works on Arab military forces more generally.
Previously employed at NATO Defence College and the German parliament, she wrote her PhD on the Lebanese army at the Humboldt University of Berlin and holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris, the Sorbonne and the University of Munich.
