Biography
Hannes Grassegger is a Swiss-based economist and investigative reporter for Switzerland’s leading weekly Das Magazin. Hannes became an internationally recognized expert on digital disinformation strategies through his investigations into Cambridge Analytica (2016), Facebook’s content moderation techniques (2016), the Web War I against Estonia (2017) and the political strategists who created the bogeyman image of George Soros (2018). Hannes is the author of a book on personal data (Das Kapital bin Ich, 2014) and now works on his new book on platform reality and how to beat disinformation for Public Affairs (NYC).
