Biography
Irena Mnatsakanyan is a PhD student in Political Science at Sapienza University of Rome. Her thesis discusses the EU Crisis Management in the South Caucasus with a particular focus at the two frozen conflicts in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Mnatsakanyan has a Bachelor’s degree from the Yerevan State University’s Economics Faculty and an MBA degree from the American University of Armenia, with a major in Management. In 2012, Mnatsakanyan successfully graduated from Bremen University of Applied Sciences with Master`s degree in European Studies. From 2012, she has been working at the “European-Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy“ NGO in Brussels as a researcher. In 2016 Mnatsakanyan was admitted to the University of Rome as a PhD candidate.
