Biography
John Karlsrud is a Research Fellow at NUPI working on peacekeeping, peace building and humanitarian issues, and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Warwick, UK. He has published peer-reviewed policy briefs and articles in, inter alia, Humanitarian Policy Exchange; Conflict, Security and Development; and Conflict Trends. He previously served as Special Assistant to the UN Special Representative to Chad and also acted as Strategic Planning officer for the mission. Previous postings include Strategy and Planning Officer for UN Development Programme, New York, and Liaison Officer for NATO, Bosnia.
