Biography
Maja Bobić is an anthropologist with an MA in Southeast European Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. As Secretary General of the European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) she is in charge of both topical and organizational issues, including responsibility for overall planning, fundraising and management of EMinS and its representation to partners, associates and beneficiaries. She was the first EMinS Local Council Coordinator to develop and implement a Network Strategy for EMinS. Ms. Bobić was later engaged in research projects and policy analysis in the area of regional co-operation and the European integration process. She has been a Freedom House and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung fellow, and is an alumna of the BFPE/CoE School of Political Studies and of the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Her areas of interest encompass European integration and EU enlargement, civil society and civil dialogue, regional cooperation, transparency and accountability. She is fluent in English, and also speaks French and Greek.
