Biography
Marko Kovačević is a PhD Candidate and Research Associate at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, and Managing Editor of the Journal of Regional Security. In his doctoral research, Marko focuses on identity and the foreign and security policies of small states. His research interests lay at the nexus of the fields of international relations, security studies, and foreign policy analysis. He focuses on comparative regionalisms, state building and the various manifestations of state agency and practice within the United Nations system. He is a member of the International Studies Association and the British International Studies Association, and has published several papers on state building, regional security, Europeanisation and the foreign policy of post-Yugoslav states. Marko was awarded an OSCE scholarship for his postgraduate studies at University of Belgrade, as well as an OSI Undergraduate Exchange Program Scholarship to study at Bard College, USA (2005-2006).
