Oliver Ivanović

Oliver Ivanović graduated from Technical School in Mitrovica. Studied at the Military Academy in Zagreb., and also completed Mechanical Engineering in Kosovska Mitrovica and became a graduate student at the Faculty of Economics in Pristina. His political career began in June 1999, when he was elected president of the Serbian National Executive Council (SNC) of northern Kosovo. He was president of the SNC, and President of the Municipal Board of SNC in Kosovska Mitrovica. He headed the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo from August 2001. In parliamentary elections organized by the international community in November 2001, he was elected as a deputy in the Assembly, and a member of the Kosovo Assembly Presidency. He received the Serbian List for Kosovo and Metohija in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections in October 2004. He was also a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Fluent in English, Albanian and Italian languages.
