Predrag Jureković
Biography
Predrag Jureković was born in 1969 in Nova Gradiška (Croatia) and grew up in Upper Austria. Since 1997 he has worked in various positions as a researcher and analyst at the Austrian Ministry of Defence. He has acted as an advisor to the MoD on Western Balkan matters. Since 1996 he has been permanent contributor to the Austrian military periodical “Österreichische Militärische Zeitschrift” on developments in South East Europe. Predrag has also participated in several research projects dealing with peace processes in South East Europe (including a joint project on crisis management in Kosovo with the German Nobel laureate Reinhard Selten, who received his prize for his work on game theory). Since 2003 he has been head of section for conflict analysis at the Institute for Peace Support and Conflict Management at the Austrian National Defence Academy. He is also Austrian co-chair of the “Regional Stability in South East Europe” Study Group in the scope of the PfP Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes.
