Biography
Rastislav Káčer was elected President of the Slovak Atlantic Commission (a member of the Atlantic Treaty Association), a non-governmental organization in July 2008 after having completed his five-year term in Washington D.C. as the Ambassador of Slovakia to the United States. Prior to this, Káčer had served at different levels of government for 16 years. He is widely recognized as an expert on U. S. Domestic and Foreign Policy, Transatlantic Relations, as well as Defense and Security Issues. Currently, he oversees FIPRA assignments in Strategic Government Relations for Foreign Investors, Governments and International Institutions. He also serves as Special Adviser to the FIPRA Group in Defense Policy and Procurement Team. In September 2008 he joined the consulting company FIPRA Slovakia – Public Policy & Regulatory Advisers, where he serves as Chairman.
