Biography
Vlatko Cvrtila is the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb, the institution from which he received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Political Science. His doctoral thesis focused on the theme of “National security of neutral countries in Europe: political and geostrategic guidelines”. Employed at the Faculty of Political Science since 1989, Prof. Cvrtila has taught subjects such as political geography and geopolitics. He was Defence Affairs Advisor to the former President of Croatia, Mr. Stjepan Mesić. He is a member of the Croatian Political Science Association, the Croatian Defence Society, the Croatian Association for International Studies, and the Atlantic Council of Croatia.
